The Tarriba Family has been farming in Sinaloa since the early 1900’s. The Farmer’s Best label was created in the mid 1960’s when Don Roberto Tarriba R. opened up the valley in which the family now farms in La Cruz, Sinaloa. The microclimate was perfect, the produce premier and demand soon started to grow. From our first season of one single plot of cucumbers we have now grown into multi commodity operation with modern facilities and growing practices as technologically advanced as anywhere in the world.
In 1986 Farmer’s Best opened their own distribution center in Nogales, Arizona. Over time this has grown to include our sales offices, two warehouse facilities with over 70,000 sq. ft. and cold storage for 2,300 pallets. In addition, we have an extensive sales and corporate office in Culiacan, Sinaloa that handle sales for the Mexican National Market and all growing operations throughout the country.
Farmer’s Best also utilizes facilities in McAllen, Texas and San Diego, California seasonally to facilitate better distribution of our products.
