Quick Merchandising TIPS:
- LOOK FOR deep, vivid color, taut skin and no soft or dark spots
- DON'T stack them on end: lay them on side to protect stems/tops. Don't dump out boxes: hand stack or use Farmer's Best display-ready box. When rotating stock, use FIFO (first in/first out) strategy
- KEEP AWAY from ethylene-sensitive items such as bananas, apples etc to avoid over-ripening, shrink
- DISPLAY on wet rack and avoid direct sunlight
- CROSS-MERCHANDISE with packaged salads and with in Meat Dept to maximize meal solutions.
