Quick Merchandising TIPS:
- LOOK FOR bunches that are plump, not straggly, with consistent-sized, bright-colored fruit.
- DON'T dump grapes from cartons/boxes onto display: hand stack or use Farmer’s Best display-ready box. When rotating stock, use FIFO (first in/first out) strategy.
- KEEP AWAY from both ethylene-producing items such as bananas, tomatoes etc to avoid over-ripening, shrink. Grapes also attract odors form neighboring items, so keep them away from onions etc.
- DISPLAY red and green grapes, and multi-packs to increase sales. A sampling box attracts impulse buys.
- CROSS-MERCHANDISE with snack fruit or nuts to emphasize the unique portability, convenience of this fruit. Use in secondary displays to enhance other fruit.
