Quick Merchandising TIPS:

  • LOOK FOR for bright color, glossy skin, uniform size, and no browning, pitting or decay.
  • DON'T dump squash from cartons/boxes onto display:  hand stack or use Farmer’s Best display-ready box. When rotating stock, use FIFO (first in/first out) strategy.
  • KEEP AWAY from ethylene-producing items such as bananas, tomatoes etc to avoid over-ripening, shrink.
  • DISPLAY no higher than 3-4- layers deep, and arranged carefully so they don’t fall off the rack.
  • CROSS-MERCHANDISE with other soup or stew-making ingredients, such as onions, garlic and potatoes, as well as in themed promotions, (Fiesta Italiana!), using the many varieties as color breaks.
Need other produce?  We also grow and/or ship other popular produce.  Please ask our sales team: Contact our Sales Office at 520-281-1411.
