What’s New in 2017

| What’s New in 2017

Farmer’s Best has plans to make 2017 our best year yet! We are excited to announce new initiatives that will allow us to continue providing more of the fresh, delicious produce with the consistency and quality you have come to trust.

Expanding Facilities

Farmer’s Best is expanding facilities in San Luis Potosí. In 2016, Farmer’s Best used approximately 74 acres here. In 2017, we are increasing production to approximately 500 acres with space for more Roma tomatoes, cucumbers and green bell peppers. Net houses will cover 72 percent of this new expansion and the rest will be open field.

This new expansion allows us to provide the same fresh, quality produce we grow on our farms in Sinaloa and Sonora, year-round.

Expanding Produce Offering

We are proud to add another item to our year-round product offerings: green bell peppers. The new addition joins Roma tomatoes and cucumbers that have been, and continue to be, available year-round.

Advancing Technology

With bell peppers available year-round and our farms continuing to grow, we needed a bigger, better bell pepper sorter. Our recent purchase of an updated, state-of-the-art bell pepper sorting machine is now in use and has increased sorting efficiency by 28 percent. This enables us to offer you even better product quality in each of our blue boxes of Farmer’s Best produce.

We are excited to start 2017 with these new expansions and advancements with an end goal to always grow our best for you. A special thanks to our customers for your continued support!
